Believe it or not, the images included here of the Moon and brighter
planets that I've achieved were taken with a Connectix QuickCam, taken
apart and the CCD mounted at prime focus on an eight-inch SCT. All exposures
were automatic, using the software provided with the camera. Check out
the LHO Techniques page for more information
about this inexpensive CCD imaging system. Also, you might want to
take a peek at my article in the June 1998 Sky & Telescope detailing
this work.
